Westfield, IN – Today Mayor Andy Cook, Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger and Japanese Consulate General Naoki Ito joined leaders of Bastian Solutions and Toyota Advanced Logistics for a grand opening of the company’s new advanced manufacturing facility in Westfield.
“This is a great day for the City of Westfield,” said Mayor Andy Cook. “With this facility coming on line, we are telling the world that Westfield is a place that is open for international development. We can supply and house a diverse workforce here and have the land to build a variety of facilities.”
The 90,000 square-foot facility is located along US-31 in Westfield’s NorthPoint Industrial Park. Bastian Solutions, a global systems integrator and consulting firm, provides material handling and robotic automation for large scale product distribution. It is owned by Toyota Advanced Logistics, a subsidiary of Japan-based Toyota Industries Corporation. The Westfield site houses the company’s growing advanced manufacturing operations and features 10,000 square feet of office space. The facility is anticipated to create up to 87 new, high-wage jobs by 2020.
